Serves 2

Fish curries from Bengal take some getting used to because of the pungency of the mustard in them. One thing to note in all fish dishes here is that they season the fish with salt and turmeric and fry it quickly before going on to cook the curry with the mustard and chillies. The finished curry is quite thin but very well flavoured. The mustard oil is an important element in this dish, and can’t be substituted with vegetable oil as in other dishes.

Simply warm in a pan or microwave.

Remains fresh for 4 days from delivery.  Cannot be frozen.

Full Ingredients

Black mustard seeds, turmeric, Kashmiri chilli powder, mustard oil, 4x 125g cod steaks, salt, green chillies, with seeds, 200g peeled raw prawns.

Allergens: Fish, crustaceans, celery, sulphites.
