The embodiment of our artisanal expertise, our delicious mackerel fillets marinated in white wine with aromatic flavourings has become one of la belle-iloise’s most popular recipes.

The mackerel are caught during the winter season, when the fish are at their fattest, and are prepared fresh and cooked in a court-bouillon, respecting traditional methods. Trimmed and placed in tins by hand, with five flavourings - lemon, carrot, onion, capers and gherkins - these generous fillets offer extraordinary finesse and lightness. The marinade, made with Muscadet, an appellation d'origine contrôlée (guarantee of origin) dry white wine, brings a delicate freshness and a hint of acidity to the melt-in-the-mouth flesh.

Rich in omega-3, vitamins and marine minerals, mackerel is a great addition to a balanced diet to help keep you healthy on a daily basis!

As soon as the goods have been delivered by the post office (even if only deposited), the customer is responsible for the professional cooling of the products. All the ingredients in our boxes are packaged and well-sealed, and we use food safe chill packs and liners to insulate the box. These will keep all the ingredients perfectly chilled for 48 hours.

Cancellation policy

As this is a food item, if you need to cancel your order, we politely ask for a minimum of 72 hours’ notice to ensure we reduce food wastage.
